READ ALONG WITH MIFFY

Miffy is the character created by Dick Bruna. The book "Read along with Miffy" (Lees mee met Nijntje) has been animated for TV in the same way as "Living Books". Wouter van der Wal wrote music for this 15 minute long animation. Like with the "Living Books", the animators worked with the original scans.

When you buy the book in the Netherlands you support children-libraries in developing countries. It's not only about the building and the books but also about knowledge to manage a library. The first library was opened in May this year in Zambia. The animation "Read along with Miffy" premiered at this occasion.

The music for this film was played by 8 musicians. A wide range of pitched percussion has been used. Wouter has captured the colours and simplicity of the drawings in his music by writing "easy" themes and tunes. The recordings were engineered by Klaas Pot.
